Like many of you, I have struggled with the BX2200 vs. B7500 buying decision. After reading many of the posts and looking at this thing every which way, an analysis of the specifications from the Kubota catalog proved helpful. This is what I’ve found.
· The BX2200 is approximately 18% less expensive than the B7500 *(Local dealer quote)
· The BX2200 has 4.5% more horsepower than the B7500
· The BX fuel tank capacity is 15% less than the B7500
· The BX2200 hydraulic pump output is 27% less than the B7500 *(B7500 utilizes a dual pump system
· The BX2200 lift capacity at lift point is 12% less than the B7500
· The BX2200 lift capacity 24" behind lift point is 56% less than the B7500
· The BX2200 has a 7% shorter wheelbase
· The BX2200 is 5% lighter in weight than the B7500
· The BX2200 loader lift capacity at (bucket center) is 29% less than the B7500 *(LA211 compared with LA272)
· The BX2200 ground clearance is 79% less than the B7500 *(assuming both specifications are with turf tires)
Based on the "buyers" objectives this information could help point to an alternative.
· For instance, if initial cost is an issue, the BX is more attractive.
· If lift capacity is a concern, the B7500 is a better choice.
· If increased loader capacity is important, you may want to consider the B7500.
· If ground clearance is a must, then the B7500 performs better.
· If a low center of gravity (stability) is important, the BX is favored.
For me, lift capacity and ground clearance are important objectives and therefore I lean toward the B7500.
