I finally got all the parts, there was one part that got back ordered. I wasn't in a hurry. Hopefully sometime before my 50th birthday I hope to get the conversion done. I've just turned 42.

I'm 42 now but home this weekend. Hopefully I'll get the conversion done Friday evening/Saturday morning.
I need to start bush hogging and get my garden tilled (it was awful this year).
Any tips on the conversion from those that have are much appreciated!

Yes, I did this on my BX2200. Worked like a charm. If you do a search, you should find my pictures that I posted on this....

It's easy. You don't have to completely remove the rod that every thing hangs on. Just move it far enough to each side to slide off the old turnbuckle stabilizers as one piece (on each side) and slide on the new telescoping ones. To loosen the rod, there is a locknut in the center that holds a screw in place. The screw, in turn, fits into a dimple in the rod. Be sure to position the rod when you're done so that the screw will again fit into the dimple. Then tighten the locknut. I just did this on my B7500.

Conversion on BX2200

I did the conversion on mine. Think I ordered the parts from Carver--about $60 total. I bought some 3/8" pins with a detent ball in the end to keep them from popping out to use as the adjustment pins.

I put 3/8" bolts and a bushing to bolt it at the front plate.

It works SLICK. I can pull the pins to disconnect an implement, then push the arms off.

Reverse the process to hook up, then raise the 3 pt, center the implement, and put the pins back in. No slop at all in the implement from side to side. Much nicer than the link deal from the factory.

I used a saber saw to cut the side from the tube, then a hammer/punch to break it out. Touched it up with some gray paint and it's done! email if you have questions, but the instructions in here are very clear.

The tube that mounts to the lower lift arms needs to have one side ground or cut out to fit on the tab on the lift arm.

I'll try to take a couple of photos tonight to show this and post it.

For what it's worth, in my application on the B7500 and with the parts described in the first post, it is not necessary to cut anything. The bolts attached to the new parts simply fit into the holes on the lower arms. Perhaps the BX models are different.
