Not sure if this is the right section, but here it goes anyway. I'm in the process of building a shed for the kids' toys and Christmas decorations. It will be 12 X 16. I'm dreaming of a B7500 w/ 60" MMM and FEL. If I get my wish/dream and actually get this in a year or so what are the measurements of the tractor and MMM? If I can incorporate these in to the size of the doors I could then keep my new tractor in out of the elements (and they could have my current shed that I keep the Sears GT in /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif). Basically I'm looking for height of ROPS and the widest point of the deck. I think I could probably get 72" wide on the doors and probably 7' tall. Will it fit? In the mean time I'll finish the shed and keep dreaming of when I can get my 7500....that new BX22 looks really cool too - sure could use that BH/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Since you're dreaming about the B7500 anyway, why not do some droolin' over the real thing at your closest dealer? Take a tape measure with you...then you'll know what you need to make the door.

Reckon the trip to the dealer would be more fun then reading a bunch of responses here...take yr wifey too.

Hopefully this information will help.

I have a 24 hp B2150 with FEL and canopy installed on the ROPS. I believe (but not sure) that the B2150 is equal to or larger than the B7500 in all dimensions. I have a B7500 sales brochure; it lists the length and width but not the height. Go figure.

Height: My B2150 with canopy goes into my 7' high garage door with an inch or so to spare. So I'd say that the B7500 will have no problems either.

Length: My B2150 with FEL and 3-point hitch finish mower completely fills up my 16 foot trailer when I haul it; therefore, a B7500 with FEL and nothing on the 3-point hitch will fit into a 16 foot garage with no problem. Small items such as a yard box will fit without problem as well. If you want to store a rotary mower while attached to the 3-point hitch, you may want to consider an 18' or 20' length.

Width: I would recommend at least a 7' wide door (which it looks like you are planning). I believe that the 60" mid mower MIGHT fit though a 6' wide door if you hold the grass deflector chute up, but if you are in the designing stages why push it?

Unfortunately the dealer that I go by daily on my to and from work doesn't have any 7500 w/ a 60" deck so I could get the height but not the width. Was just curious if any one else had had the same limitations and happened to remember the measurements off the top of their head. Otherwise the dealer is closed by the time I pass through on my way from work and with their security system they have there I don't like messing around there too much. The last thing I would need to do is to explain to them how that tractor go loaded onto the trailer behind me truck as I'm going down the highway with the security cable still attached /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Hi there,

I have a B2410 which is a little larger than the B7500. I actually built a shed that is 12 x 16 as I couldn't afford the double detached garage I want to build quite yet. I've posted a photo you can see at picture of shed . You can see how I did the double doors here. The doors are 8' wide in total as each one is a 4'x8' sheet of OSB vertically aligned. They are not quite 8' tall though. I believe I went with 7' 2" which is lots of room!

Let me know if you need anything more.

Are the doors separated by a small piece of OSB? It looks like a trash can there in between them. I must be missing something. According to the tire tracks, you drive through this section but yet it looks attached to the top of the shed. I feel your pain on not being able to afford the garage. I'm right there with you on that, but at least you are a step ahead of me - you have the tractor....hoping the 65' Sears GT will make it another summer.....

The doors, when completely closed, have about a 1/2" gap between them (to allow them to close). I added a piece of OSB to one door (the right one in the photo) with 1/2 of the strip on the door. The other half covers the gap and overlaps the other door. It is just to prevent a gap from being there. I also extended the strip above the doors to add some rigidity to the doors. Inside I have added barrel bolts on the left door to pin it to the bottom plate and the top plate. With the barrel bolts and the overlapping OSB the doors are very solid. The thing at the bottom of the door is just a chunk of log that I have against the door to keep it closed. I haven't installed a latch/lock yet. If you want, I can take a few detailed photos and post them. Just let me know.

That is OK. Thanks for you input though. I've kinda of decided on how I'm going to do it, was just curious about the actual measurements. What size mmm do you have? What is your clearance on each side?

I have the 60" MMM. Also use a 60" rear blade. Have lots of clearance, in fact I slide in next to a skidoo also stored in the shed. The door is a little over 96" wide so clearance is NOT a problem.

Does you says you has a 65 Seers tractor? I likes to collect old gardin tractors. Is it hard to find parts for tractors as old as the 65 am? I has a 73 John Deer that my dad use to have
