Not sure which tractor to get. Currently have a Kubota B6200 16 hp and just replaced our Woods RM59 finish mower with a Bush Hog RDTH60 rear discharge mower. The problem with the new mowing deck is that it weighs much more than the Woods and when mowing on a slope it takes my whole backend with it not to mention my front end keeps coming off of the ground when I lift the mower, even though we do have weights on the front end. This tractor has always seemed a little under powered especially when going up hills. We mow about 6 - 10 acres with lots of slopes and bushhog about 5-8. The dealer says the b7500 weights more than my B6200 and the power would be alot better than what I have now. I like the size of the B7500 but would I be better off with the extra HP and weight that the B7800 has?

Yes, just my personal opinion, of course. I had the same mower with my B2710 and couldn't have asked for anything better.

I love the 7800, nice machine. I went from a Sears 18.5 Hp to the 7800 - no need to say anymore there. I've only mowed once with the 7800 and it is a dream. I have a RM and there is no problem even in very high grass. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can't believe you're mowing 6-10 acres with the 16 Hp, granted it is a Kubota Compact. You'll love either the 7500 or the 7800, but I'd go with the 7800. IMHO

I have a B7500 and am totally thrilled with it, but I chose that size because of its maneuverability. Also, it fits in my workshop. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But if I had property the size of yours, with the kind of work you do, I'd have gone with the B7800. A little more beef and weight can't hurt.

I am a newbie here and am looking at a 7800. Maybe I should look at a 7500. I have 3 acres mowing, garden, and leveling work I need to do. Is the 7800 too much for me? Most of the mowing is a field that is sloped toward the road. Thanks!

I just upgraded from the B2200 to the B7800. I really like the larger size. I would go with the B7800. It is a lot more tractor than the B7500. Going from what you have to the B7500 you may not notice that much difference.

I just traded a 2002 B7500 for a B2710. I loved the B7500, but I needed more tractor. In addition to mowing the lawn and plowing the driving with a Woods 5' rear blade and FEL, I also brushhog and rototill. I also had a need for a backhoe, and felt the 7500 was a little light for what I needed. We have 95 acres to work and I do alot of habitat work around the place. I got a good deal on a used 2002 B2710 with only 34 hours on it. I was looking at the B7800 and B2910, but I couldn't pass up the savings on the used 2710. Also got a Woods 7500 backhoe. I would consider the B7800 over the B7500.
