Ultra-Wide B7500 & looking for a 100hp
Well, to avoid necrothreading Ive made a new post aboit this. I know there was a similar post about 5-8 years ago, but I can't find it.

My 2004 kubota B7500 dyno has finally bit the dust. 20 years and 1600 hours later - not bad if you ask me. But now I need a new one. Ive seen 10si alternators shoe horned in, but I dont know what Id need for that. I do use this tractor to charge/jump other equiptment when its needed so Id like more available amps.

What do I need to get do/do?? I actually bought a single wire 10si alternator, but its been in a box next to my dead tractor.

Help!!!!

Tubota makes a kit to replace the "dynamo" often fitted to the smaller tractors. My B2601 had such, but now has a 35 watt alternator. Fit and performance is perfect!
I'm considering replacing the dynamo on the B7200 but.......;-)

You already have the 10SI but personally I would go with a Denso alternator. You can get them from a Japanese car from the early 80s at the wrecker or new. They are slightly more money but quite a bit smaller and will outlast just about anything else you can buy.

The smallest are 35A which is still a step up from the permanent magnet generator you had. Even large commercial equipment like my 70s JD backhoe only had a 40A alternator.

The one I found just now is the

"Kubota #B7324 40 Amp High Capacity Alternator Kit."

Gonna look it up now.

Update. I looked it up. Looks like a lot of freaking work to put in. I was annoyed with just a bracket.

Im more than willing to return it. I do like a single wire setup though. Dont have a lot of time for this project.

I agree that Denso alternators are great.

But an easier fix to the OEM setup is to replace the bearings, brushes, or regulator/rectifier inside your unit. I have been able to buy them separately for other alternators.

What does yours look like?

I agree and wouldn't bother upgrading mine when it fails either. It's had more than enough output to keep up with use and run lights since I got it and lighting load is only decreasing with LED conversions. Remember, every amp to the alternator is less power to the pump and wheels and these are small tractors to begin with.

My main point was that if you are going to squeeze in a alternator you may as have a small one to work with, plus it looks like you can get a pre-fab bracket for the denso. That said, we use them all the time on Kubota powered gensets so brackets must be available through Kubota industrial engine dealers... Not the same distributors as the tractors, they can't access each others parts.

You eouldnt happen to have more information on what I need fo ya?

For the power, I use it mostly for puttong stuff, chicken tractor, downed trees, and mowing. I put shorter tires (L3 trenchers) on it to regain some torque which has worked wonderfully.

I very rarely go over a slow walking pace with it and dont have pto impliments besides a mower. Id like to get another m9960 or similar for actualy work.

It might have taken me two hours to make the swap on the B2601, and I pulled the steering wheel, the cowl cover, and removed the old regulator. The kit was worth it just for the bracket.
