B7200 replacing water pump, looking for tips

Hi, got my new water pump in the mail, ready to put it on, wanted to see if anyone uses gasket sealer or if there are any other procedures to follow. I would rather ask than be sorry later.

If it has an O-Ring don't sealer... KennyV

I have always been told that it's a good idea to replace the thermostat whenever you replace a waterpump.
