Price Check b7100 w/loader price? Replacement engine price??

Came along the "deal of the day". A b7100 with loader for $1K, but there is a catch. Knock in the motor, was run low on oil front crank seal went bad. $1K sounds like a good deal to me but the rebuild or replacement is the deciding factor. I would be able to swap the engine myself but does anyone know a ballpark price for a new or rebuilt engine?? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

For that price, I'd be tempted to tackle the rebuild myself, or just part the thing out. The loader should add at least $1.5 or 2K to the value of another B7100.

OTH, once rebuilt, it'll probably run for a long time. Mine is running strong and going on 25 years old.

We sold a loader off of a 7100 a cpl of years ago for $950.
It was in very good condition. That was on ebay too.
