I am thinking of replacing the flighting on my B748 snowblower. Has anyone done this? What do I need to watch out for? I am also thinking of making the bearing attachment non-movable and using an idler to adjust tension. Any thoughts on this? Thanks much

How about a picture and an explanation as to why.

If you are talking about adjusting the chain driving the auger, newer designs use a spring loaded idler to keep the tension constant.

Large Canadian snow blower companies with serious engineering in their designs state full flighting takes more power to run and is only necessary if doing frozen snow bank removal in cities.
