Ok so this is my first tractor. Not wanting to bother anyone, I bought a user manual. But it is of no help because I have a manual transmission and it is for a HST.

On the right hand side there are 3 levers.

What in the world are they for?
I can guess that one is HI-LO, one is 4WD, and one is who knows.

And there is the most confusing sticker that tries to describe "creeping speed, low / high in a table format.

Im really not all that stupid, but I am tired of guessing.

Please tell me what you think these levers do.

p.s. how are there 6 forward gears with only 3 forward stick positions? I think I know but I'll ask anyway.

thanks in advance

Welcome to TBN, I put numbers on your photo but I don't really know the correct answer as to which one does what but thought adding numbers might help someone else... help you.

I can answer: Three low gears + three high gears = 6 forward gears. The unknow handle, is most likely the PTO on/off.

Thanks TEG, the numbers help.

I have posted a new thread asking someone to identify the mystery box mounted on my tranny.

That is where the 3rd lever is coming from and why I am having trouble understanding the relationships of the 3 levers.

Actually, I just noticed that you posted this in the general forums under Owning/Operating..... It would have been better to have put this post in the Kubota section, Owning/Operating forum :eek:

#3 is your mfwd lever... up is two wheel, down is four, "down for dirt" is how I remember it.

#2 is your hi/lo range... start driving and its pretty obvious which range you are in.. up is lo range.

#1 looks like you have an add-on pto pump on top of the transmission. I have only seen pictures of this. I would imagine one position is ON and one is OFF.
