B7000 dynamo

It will be on the front of the engine. Look at the fan belt it will run around the fan, crankshaft, and the dynamo. Dynamo is just another name for a generator.

Thanks Joe. That is what I expected. I know what an alternator looks like but cannot see it on engine. Is it different to a car engine alternator?

On the B7000, the dynamo is part of the fan hub. Since that tractor doesn't use a water pump, they put the dynamo on the spot that usually is the water pump.

Thank you. I’m new to tractors so appreciate very much this tip. I will look tomorrow and let you know what I find.

Feel free to ask any questions. I pretty much grow up with one. I'm 25 and had a B7000 for 18/19 years.

I knew everything about that tractor all the way from the front to the back.

Thank you so much. I’m sure there will be many more questions. We love Portugal, holiday there last year.

Cool! Which part of the country did you went to?

Just saw my old B7000 at the dealer I traded it. The new owner must leave it there for oil changes or something.

we took our caravan to Bragance and Guarda and spent a week enjoying the beautiful countryside. The people are very friendly.

I also enjoy to go to that side of the country. Some beautiful views over there. I would rather go to the interior than go to the coast.

Good morning. Found the alternator on the fan shaft. Thought it was a water pump until I saw the wire coming out of it. So I bought a new battery and it starts 1st time after preheating the glow plugs. Thanks so much for your help.
Next problem is the oil leak from around the pto shaft. On orange tractor talk I followed a thread which lead to the Kubota part number and ordered one from local dealer. It is too small! The shaft measures 35mm dia. Have you any idea where I can order the correct seal?
Regards, David

I've found this:

OEM -35488 Seal Oil B71 PTO (35x48x9mm) | Stavros Savva & Son Ltd

Seal PTO shaft original Kubota - TP195 - TracPartz

But if any of those works, I would sugest go to an hydraulic shop with the old one. Maybe they have one. Although the lip it has makes it a bit "special". It's there so you can remove it without taking the PTO plate apart.

Last resource, you can get a regular seal 35x48x9 without the lip. It will work just fine, but you don't have the lip to remove it without pulling the plate around the PTO shaft out.

Went to my local Kubota dealer with part number. Would not supply it for an import from China so ordered it from Stavros. Thanks for help. I hope the bearing is ok.
