Need some close up pics of backhoe attached to 3 pt hitch. I took mine off 2 weeks ago. Now it's back on but it looks to low. I'll post a pic tommorrow.

Thanks

I saw in the parts manual that the mast ear I have is for the L series (more holes). I'm waiting to hear from Kubota. Anyone have the same setup?

I'm having the same problem. The dealer and I went over the procedure several times at time of purchase but that was weeks ago. I took it off and remounted it but I'm pretty sure it isn't correctly done. I read my BH manual and I think I have it figured out. I'll take you a photo if/when I get it.

The BH cross tube goes under your 3 pt arms just like it is. The purpose of the tube is safety. It keeps the BH from lifting in the event that the top pins come out or break or you inadvertantly raise or 3PT. If the BH lifts, it will pinch the operator between the controls and ROPS.
The BH should hang on the top mount while transporting.
In addition to safety, the cross tube also takes alot of the strain off the top bracket during use. Once you set it to dig with the stabilizers out, the BH wont "weigh" anything and the forces on it will push it up, thats where the cross tube comes into play.
Ive got an L3130 with BL4690, its got the exact same setup as yours.

EDIT: If its hanging too far down, an adjustment can be made to the top support bar, thats why its got so many holes in it, but I would suggest that you call the dealer that installed it to do that if youre not familiar with how the cross tube and top support bar relate to one another.

Here is a picture of my Backhoe. It's not mounted on the tractor. But pins are setting in the positions that are used for mounting on tractor. Hope it helps.
If you need a better picture let me know.

Actually after looking at my BL4690B. My top link does resemble yours more than Rons. You may very well have the top link for an L series but Im not sure if it really matters since there are so many adjustments in the BH mounting, ie: three different holes for the lower link pins, three different holes for the cross tube and several holes for the upper link.
Which reminds me, since it seems like it hangs different than when new, are you sure you put the lower link pins in the correct holes?

There is a bushing that goes in hole to left of DANGER tag in my picture. Maybe it is missing.

The lower links are in the top of three available holes. I can't find any data on which is correct although the assembly config. shows it there.
