I have a chance to pick up a 2014 B3200 for a good price. It is 5 hours away so I don't want to waste a trip if its the wrong tractor. I'm 6'4" tall and weigh 250. Is the work station going to be too cramped for me?

I've driven the new L series and found them to be quite comfortable, but the local dealer does not have any B series for me to try.

Thanks

Brad

Which L series did you drive? The L2501, L3301, and L3901 are all the same. I find them a little hard to get on but once in the seat they are very comfortable. I'm 6'4" and 225 lbs. The most comfortable are the grand L.

I do not care for the B series tractors... I feel like I'm sitting on top of the thing and have to reach down towards the steering wheel. An odd feeling. There should be plenty of leg room, etc but its just a strange feeling. You could sit on a B2650 for a rough idea of what they are like....

Thanks. I'm upgrading from an early 80's 16 hp Ford 1300. That doesn't sound comfortable to me so I think I'm going to hold out for a bigger chassis. Plus I'm pretty sure I want something heavier.

The B3200 is very close in dimensions to a base L series (L3200/3800 L2501/3301/3901). In fact, I think the B may have a slightly larger wheelbase. You can look at the specs online and compare the numbers. Anyhow, if you fit on a base L then you'll probably fit on a B3200 just fine, but don't drive 5 hours until you know for sure. B models are lighter and not as heavy-duty as an L, but otherwise very capable. The B3200 has a very large 4-cylinder engine and was know to be a bit buzzy, so you may want to study that aspect carefully if you plan to use it for mowing or another task where you'd be in the seat for many hours at a time.
