B3030 v B3000

At the Kubota dealership I was attracted to a B3000CAB. Very nice tractor and a pretty amazing cab. I also saw a B3030HSDC. To me these two tractors seem identical. When I came home I went on the Kubota website to look up the specs of these two tractors. The specs also suggest that these two tractors are identical.

Can anyone shed some light as to what if any the differences are?

I have a late 2010 B3030HSDC purchased in Mar 2011; it was available in two versions. The $300 more expensive B3030HSDCC version had a cab with an additional Rear Defogger with 60A Alternator. The B3000 also comes in two versions. The Deluxe Cab version is essentially the same as the B3030HSDCC; it has the Rear Defogger with 60A Alternator. It cost about $1000 more than the B3030HSDC. I have the same improved seat and sound proofing in the cab some have said only the B3000 has; it came standard. My dealer offered to sell me either version of either tractor, but he admitted the B3030HSDC was the best value for the prices at that time. He didn't think the rear window defroster was a critical need during the winters here in Maine. Time will tell.

On the B3000, the HSDC version has quarter inching and turnbuckle style lower 3 pt arms.

The HSDCC version has position control and telescoping 3 pt arms, both of which have significant advantages over the former.

I have no idea why Kubota did this but it makes no sense to me.

On the B3030, all versions have position control and telescoping 3 pt arms.

Yeah doesn't make sense to me either. It seems underneath they are the same tractors. Also the cab options seem available on either line. I thought maybe one was replacing the other in the lineup.

I read someplace on these boards that the B3000 is replacing the B3030's. I think they are phasing out the B3030's in favor on the B3000's, which would explain why they are so similar.

It be just rumor, I don't know. Call a dealer and ask... but don't call a dealer that has a bunch of B3030's sitting on his lot. You might not get a straight answer

Right.... the B3000 is the replacement for the B3030. If it were me, I'd opt for the B3030 with position control. I'd even haggle for a better price since it's technically a leftover.

That's basically what I did. The dealer gave me a good price on the basic B3030HSDC, and threw in a bunch of options, like Rim Guard, rear wheel spacers, rear window washer & wiper, block heater. The only option I didn't get was the radio; $700 for a non BlueTooth enabled radio in this age is outrageous. I have my iPod if I need tunes; so far that hasn't been an issue.

That clears it up..... Also I spoke to my dealer and he said that he would be able to get me a comparably equipped 3030HSDCC for $400 less than the 3000CAB he had. They also had no literature on the 3000 so I assume it's proving to be popular. Maybe they can strike me a deal!

The HSDCC is a nice package with the larger alternator.

Since opinions are free, I'll suggest the factory rear wheel spacers. Should be under three beans and give a good stable 'feel' to the tractor on uneven ground. Especially with Rim Guard in the rear tires.
