B3030 rear remote levers

The rear remote levers on my B3030 vibrate loudly at times. Other levers seem to have a plastic sleeve positioned where the lever runs through the lever guides. Is there a plastic sleeve that I can order for these levers? Have others noticed a similar problem and found another solution for this issue?

I know I've seen the plastic sleeves you are talking about, but not sure where. I too have the same issue, there are times then the levers vibrate and rattle on the slot, annoying. Glad you mentioned it, I thought it might just be mine.

Remove the cab and you will never notice the noise . Although I can't hear them on my B3030 "roadster" aka ROPS I am sure that in the quiet luxury of your cab it can spoil the enjoyment of your Mozart CD while out in left field. Seriously, I'm not jealous but you might try a light bungee wrap around the two leavers close to the valves so as not to interfere with their relative motion. Slap-be-gone! Most mechanics would simply tell you to turn up the radio (or get one).

Why don't you try pulling the knobs off and slide a piece rubber vacuum or clear hose over the levers the full length then put the knobs back on.

Now that I'm done being a smart alec to a fellow Canuck you have peaked my curiosity: What do you operate with your dual rear remotes? You can see my setup here.

Here's an easy fix: Remove the 'knob' off the end of the levers. Slide a piece of heat shrink tubing over the lever and heat it in position where the levers would rub on the plastic. I would myself use 2-3 layers of shrink tubing, heating each one seperately so as to have the desired thickness. Replace knobs - problem solved.

Just be careful with the heat around the plastic. I'd use a hairdryer rather than a torch.

Surgical tubing is pretty stretchy.. Also would look alot like what's on the other levers..

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions...even the fellow Canuck Time to do some experimentation.

The dual remotes are for a Pronovost rear blower (P-620) with hydraulic chute rotation and deflector control. This blower is built like a tank and makes snow removal a treat when done in the comfort of a heated cab with the music on and a large cup of coffee in the cup holder. The rattling rear remote levers are the only thing interfering with the Zen like state.

During the summer months I also use 1 rear remote with a Woods LR700 landscape rake which has hydraulic angle adjustment.

Bend the outer lever arm slightly outward and the inner lever slightly inward so they have a slight pressure against the plastic cover. I had to glue the cover on because it keeps popping off. I used silicone so I can remove it if I need to.

Doesn't someone make a rubber coating that comes in a can and can be brushed onto the levers (providing that you have clearance)?
I remember seeing a product like this several years ago that was made for wrench handles, etc. The item can be dipped in or have the substance brushed on and then it hardens into rubber.
