I just spent about 30 minutes with my Kubota dealer, here is what I came away with.

1- There will be a price increase around the first of the year, about 3%, it will not affect the newly introduced models.

2- Kubota expects another record breaking sales year.

3- Pricing on the new B3030 will very likely be lower than the B2910 that it is replacing.

I too spoke with my dealer after he recently returned from the new 2005 Kubota product demo conference.

He said the B3030 is basically a glorified B-7800, same frame and only some cosmetic changes for creature comfort, etc. Not real impressed with the upgrades as far as operability goes.

But he did operate the new TLB39 and said it was an awesome improvement over the TLB35 with more power, much more hydraulic pump capacity, much more FEL capacity and an improved backhoe. He is getting two into the shop by late February or early March and I put down $1,000 on one for me! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I totally agree with the L39 assesment, however not the B3030. Its a good step above the 7800, and even the 2910. They removed the clutch, tweaked control layouts, improved egronomics and put on a new illuminated dash. Its not at revolutionary as the L39 and GR's... but they are worth while changes.

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

Kubota 's sales in the U.S. climbed to Y124.73 billion from Y98.15 billion, and their profit level experienced a seven-fold increase. The company attributed the strong U.S. sales to solid tractor demand, its zero-interest-rate sales promotion and the introduction of so-called utility vehicles for cargo transport.

Sales of engines for industrial equipment also recorded a strong increase overseas, the company said.

I'm not saying I don't like the new B-3030 myself, personally I think it is one dynomite compact tractor. I was just reiterating his impressions to me.

30HP in any <2,000 pound machine is an awful lot of power, many machines of that weight have almost 1/2 that amount. I also like the styling and agree that it is a beautiful machine outside that has a terrific mechanical beast underneath. Kubota has done well on this one! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I wonder if the financing terms are going to change too? Do you think the price of implements is going to go up the same amount?

I don't know about implements or financing as I didn't ask. I do know that most of the implement companies have taken price increases. Kubota is one of the very few companies that makes their own loader, mid mount mowers, etc. I know they just signed a deal to build another factory here in the states (I think that makes 5 or 6?).

Equipment dealers have on preseason or dealer meeting orders are price protected. B & L series atachments will be increasing by 3.5%

Kubota's current financing rates are ending Dec. 31, it will be Jan. 3 before we know what the new rates will be. If Kubota does like it did this year they will not come back immediatly with 0%, but wait to see how early sales go.

In my mind removing the clutch would not be a positive.

The one thing I DON"T like about my little BX is that there is no clutch that I can control. When I engage the PTO it is too harsh for my liking. I would rather have the ability to more gradually engage the clutch. Even trying to slowly move the handle does not seem to work that well...

I would never take a free "upgrade" on my B2910 (if one existed, which they don't of course) to elimanate the manual clutch and replace it with a automatically engaged hudraulic clutch of some kind...

Just me I guess... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Did they change the three point hydrolics? My dealer made a comment that he preferred the hydrolics on my B2410 to its replacement. Maybe they stuck to the QIV on the new machines to save some money? Or maybe he was just trying to make me feel good?
