I just took delivery of a new B3030 cab model with loader and snowblower /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif When I press down on the hydro pedal it sounds like something is grinding and makes a lot of noise. Has anyone come across this problem with their B3030? It is amazing that the dealer sent this tractor in this condition. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Is the range selection fully engaged in one of the ranges?

I own a B3030 and I have never had a noise like That. I would call the dealer.

I have vibrations on mine but no noise coming from the hydro pedal. Call your dealer

I think you are driving with the the brake lock engaged.

Just took delivery of my B3030HSCD two days ago. Love the sound of the engine, sounds like a locomotive. However, the hydrostat when engaged to go either forward or backward has a high pitched stressed whinning noise to it. I read the threads before posting, and the break isn't on, I tried it again after reading, being sure the break was off. Anyone else have anything like this?

I don't recall my NH TC21D having any noise when using the Hydrostat, but then I guess I wasn't confined to a Cab where the noise may be more pronounced.

I don't mind it all that much, if it's normal, except I thought the cab was going to be a bit more quiet.

I also own a B3030 cab model and yes the hydro does make noise. When the hydro fluid warms up with use it makes less noise but there is still a noise present. My understanding was that all tractor hydro units make some noise.

FYI,

Mine is 2+ years old and does make the noise. It only happens when the forward pedal is pushed all the way to the floor. Happens in any of the speed ranges of the gear box. It stops if you ease off the pedal force just a little. It is a harmonic that i have not had time to trace out.

If it's the "hydro whine" then it's normal. If it's an actual GRINDING noise that sounds like something is getting chewed up, then it probably is and that's NOT normal.

I have a B3030HSDC also, and as Chessie said when you push the hydro lever all the way to the floor you hear a noise in the cab, but if you let off the hydro pedal just a touch it goes away. When I brought it to the dealer for the 50 hr service I had them look at it. They said because of the cab it is louder and more noticeable and that a guy outside the cab can barely hear it if at all. However, this is not a grinding noise it is like a vibrating whine of sorts, if yours is grinding call the dealer as others advised and don't run it to much until you get it figured out.

I have five hours on my new B3030HSDC and it too is a whiner! After hearing all the other guys with theirs HST's whining I'm going to keep using it. A long way to go on the warranty, and I figure it could be normal hydraulic sounds...because I am a complete newbie to tractors. This is the first one I have ever owned OR driven. What a great little machine. I'm havin' a blast. Work is now fun!

My 3030 HSDC (250 hrs) has the high pitch whine in high range, in m & l its bailey noticeable. No big deal as my machine is rarely in high!

I just got my B3030 yesterday. In high range, low RPM, if you stomp on the hydro pedal, or are under a load in the wrong range you get a "squeal". Dealer told me this is normal, go easier on the pedal and keep RPM's up.

AMR is right on!! My B7800 sure lets me know when the hyro wants more oil. It whines at me saying more oil, more oil. That is in any range. Also the pedal starts getting hard to push down and jumping up and down a little. So I give it more oil by more RPM or less pedal.

I also have a b3030hsdc and also have the hydro whine noise. I was quite concerned at first with it but have gotten use to it. However there is no grinding in mine either. As stated above, get that checked out. Great machine, enjoy.....

Thank you everyone. No grinding here, just whinning. I'll keep in mind the more throttle and less pedal to keep the whinning somewhat under control. Mostly I'm just glad it seems to be normal operation.
