B3030 HST Pedal problem

Hello all, I have a B3030 with a little over 400 hours, used it this winter moving snow piles when my Chevy plow truck couldn't push them any farther. So the weather finally changes and I set out to regrade the driveway (after destroying it plowing) using the B3030 with a 6' BB with rear remotes and a T&T. I noticed that I am getting some resistance when I push the HST pedal forward, but not when i push reverse (be anybody says anything, the BB was not in use ;-). When I stopped and moved the loader control around the resistance went away for a short period then came back. I greased the pedal pivot point regularly, I regreased and with the tractor off I crawled underneath and moved the pedal but I don't see it binding. Any ideas???

There is a small rod about 3/8" dia. connected to the pedal assy. that pushes on the safety switch. This rod slides inside a tube a couple inches long (at the switch end) and it can bind up in there if it ever gets any corrosion in it. You'll have to get way up in/under the machine to see it but you can access it from underneath the floorboard. I would first try liberally applying WD-40 into the tube, then use it awhile, spray it again, etc. This has worked for me, if the problem persists, disassemble it and apply some light grease in there.

That will more than likely be the problem. There is also a little wheel that rides on a cam which controls the HST that could be bound up, but I would try the rod/slide first.

Mine has this problem also.
I haven't had a chance yet to check out Verticaltrx fix yet.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? I have 600 hrs on mine and it's starting to do it quite often.

I had a similar problem just the other day with my 3030. My pedal stuck going forward it did not return when I let off, tractor kept moving forward. I shut off the tractor greased the pedal moved it a few time without it running worked fine the rest of the day, haven't used the tractor again. I was thinking it was just because its been a few weeks since I use the tractor

This is not what happens with mine at all.
Mine the pedal gets hard to push like there is pressure behind it, preventing you from pushing it further. Always happens going forward never reverse. You have to back off and try again. I keep the pedal greased it's not that. It does this now once in a while but just about every-time I'm using it for an hour or so.

Finally got to check it out today and looks like that is where my problem was.
