I have rolled 153 hrs on my B3030 and need to do my 150 hr service. Can anyone tell me what to expect on the cost for everything needed. But more importantly can you fill me in on any "good to know" things on performing the service so I don't have to figure it out the hard way. Any tricks so to speak.
Thanks - Trav

I would be interested also, since I didn't know there was 150 hour service. Where are you going to take it?

I don't think I would be doing it until the snow season is over (late April) here.

I have the B3030HSDC also. The 50 hour service was the major one-engine oil and filter as well as hydraulic fluid and two filters.Cost about $135 for a gallon and a quart of Kubota 10W30 oil,one oil filter, the two trans/hydraulic filters and a 5 gallon bucket of SUDT.Maybe more now-that was last year. After the 50 hour service, oil changes are called for at 100 hour intervals.Hydraulic fluid at 300 hour intervals. Front axle lube at 400 hours. I think coolant at 2 years?
You may only need an oil change if you've had the 50 hour service. An air filter is about $30,if needed, and grease for four fittings.Good luck.

I apologize guys, here I was thinking for some reason the 150 hr service was the next big service after the 50 hr one. I was thinking I had to change all the fluids in the tractor and all the filters. My memory didn't work to well. smfcpacfp and number 2 thanks for your comments, they made me pull out my book and double check, and your correct, no big service at 150 hrs. I must have been thinking of the 300 hr service. The only out of norm thing called for in the 150 hr mark is checking the wheel bolt torques. Thanks for point out my misconception guys. You just saved my probably around $200............for a while anyway.:D

I just completed my 50hr service on my new B3030 (bought in April) and the supplies cost me about $140-$150.

I think I will end up putting about 75 hours per year on my tractor, and it is highly likely that I will continue doing this service on an annual basis. In my mind, the $140 investment is cheap insurance to keep my long term investment in the tractor in tip top shape...

Don't make the mistake I made at 48 hours when I over tightened the drain plug bolts on the HST transmission and stripped the threads on one side. I ended up going to ++ TIME-SERT Threaded inserts for stripped threads, threaded inserts, thread repair stripped sparkplug's, Ford sparkplug blowouts, threaded inserts threaded, repair stripped threads, stripped threads, inserts threaded inserts, Ford spark plug repair, for a thread repair kit and fixed it myself. Lost some sleep for a few days though. Transmission case is made of aluminum which royally sucks. Made me sick when the bolt just started spinning inside the trans case. DON'T OVERTIGHTEN!!!!!
