I知 new to the forum so let me know if I知 doing anything wrong.

Ok so I have a little B2920 and I知 looking for the logic of the electrical control box. I have the wiring diagrams and it just shows the connections. Reason I知 asking is running the rear PTO with seat safety systems operational does it make the engine operate like a stationary engine? Example low oil and high water temp. shut down features. I figure if they make us have these safety痴 at least they could give us some added features.

Quite unusual to have engine guard even on large tractors, on a some it's a factory option.

I’m not familiar with the B2920 seat safety, but the Grand L60 tractors allow unattended pto operation by tilting the seat forward before engaging the pto.

No, it doesn't change anything other then allow it to run without an operator.
What are you trying to do?

I have a PTO generator I run in emergencies (8-12hr a day). When running the generator I’m inside the barn, so I can’t even hear the tractor running. If something were to go wrong it’s not looking good for the engine.

You can always add a low oil shutdown, I don't think the overheat is as big of a concern but it's also possible to add if you're really concerned about it.

What would be the best plan of attack for setting up a low oil shut down? If funny how the older I get the more I think about safety.

You can use a oil pressure switch that closes at a set pressure, if the pressure drops below that pressure then the switch opens, wire fuel shutoff solenoid into the switch. The B2920 uses a fuel solenoid that is powered to run.

Only downside is you might have a slightly extended crank so the oil pressure can build up enough to cut the fuel solenoid on.

Ok sound simple enough. I’ll probably wire a toggle switch in parallel with the new low oil switch so it only functions when I need it. Last thing I haven’t had a chance to look at the tractor but is there a good spot to tee in for the pressure switch?

You should be able to T off the pressure sending unit, believe it's on the left side of the block near the oil filter.
I was going to suggest a bypass switch but wasn't sure how involved you wanted to get, that'll also allow you to run a higher cutoff pressure which I would prefer, since it'll only be used with the engine at operating speed.
