Vs. trading with the dealer what where would be the best place to advertise or best way to sell a used tractor? I want to sell a 2002 B2910, loader, turf tires, a rear remote, with a 60 inch befco box blade only 36 hours on it for $13,500. Trading with the dealer who is not a Kubota dealer in not looking to be a good idea. Does anyone know a dealer who is both a kubota and a New Holland dealer together near Indiana?

You can also try Ebay. I see alot of them selling on there.

I'd try the local swap sheet/paper. Round by me you NEVER see decent compacts for sale by owner (I know, I looked for a year and wound up buying new). Advertise for a fair price and/or put it out in front of your house with a sign and you should be ale to sell it with no problem. (Less of course your property is way out there and you get no road traffic...........)

TBN Classifieds of course!!

It sounds like a nice package and if 4WD a good price point so you should have no trouble moving this unit locally or via the internet, ebAY etc..

Try your dealer where you want to buy the new tractor. When I traded up my dealer had a list of people wanting used tractors, I sold mine the day I talked to him about it. I was asking $2000,00 more than offered for trade and a ghuy came with a check in hand. You have a tool to help in the sale no sales tax that is a nice chunk of change to save.

I don't know what part of Indiana you are from. My dealer in Southern Illinois is both NH and Kubota.

not much in your profile, but i would imagine that no matter where u live, u put that in a paper and u won't have any problem selling it.

I don't understand why you would need to see it? with only 36 hrs. on it I would expect it to be just like new! If you really wanted it you would have bought it sight unseen and then made your final inspection when you picked it up. If something was wrong at that time you could have walked away from the deal, or come to an agreement on it. But with only 36 hrs. I think you would know what you are getting. I bet you may have sounded unsure to the seller about buying the tractor, so he went with the sure thing. I don't know for sure if I'm right as I wasen't there. But you didn't state that you were driving 4 1/2 hrs. with a check and a trailer in tow. At that price if I was looking, I would have had a bank check in one hand and chain binders in the other! Good luck in your search, you will find one.

As to all stories here is the other side! Shoppintractors never stated he wanted to even come look at the tractor in any of his e-mails. So after a day or so the tractor was listed in the TBN classified section and a buyer called the same day who is also a TBN member. Well then "Tractorshoppin" says he wants to come see it but does not know when he can come and he is coming with no trailor, never mentioned bringing money and said was just coming to look and would have to make another trip if he liked it. Well in the mean time I had 2 others wanting to come with trailors and money from the same distance to buy it. It was not until "tractorshoppin was told another person had called and was coming to see it that he then wanted to come"NOW" to still "look". I told him that he would have to second chance if the other buyer did not take it. The other buyer decided he wanted the tractor and would send a driver and trailor to pick it up sight unseen which he did end up doing and is very happy after he got it.
I never once consided how long someone was a member of this network, I considered who was most serious about buying my tractor. In my classified I stated "priced to sell fast" Someone coming to "look" vs. someone coming with a trailor with check in hand who called before someone else even decided to come just to look, I would consider a more serious buyer??? I felt this was an " above board" process and so does the new owner.

Von,
I think you would know what you are getting

Are things always as they appear? It sure sounded good on paper(no pictures). I would expect to to be just like new, but who new? Check was in hand, truck and trailer was scheduled on the next trip.
