I have a tiny leak between the bevel gear case and front gear case on my B2910. I looked at the shop manual and it looks like there is an O-ring between the 2 parts which are held together by 4 bolts. It looks like an easy repair. Is it simply a matter of removing the 4 bolts, sliding off the bevel gear case, replacing the o-ring, and putting it back together? Gear oil is cheap and the leak is small. Can I forget about it and periodically check the oil level?

From looking at the diagrams in the IPL, it appears as if it will just come off. Though, there are a lot of components, so be conscious is something just falls out.

Or it could go the other way, where it won't come off.

Only way to find out is by taking those 4 bolts off.
