Kubota B2650 - 200 hrs

Last week The tractor was running fine. I was moving snow for about 3 hrs, and it sputtered and died. Wasn’t out of fuel. I figured there could be moisture in the fuel so I changed it, changed filter, bled it at injectors, and new battery, still didn’t run.

At WOT I can get it start for about 2 seconds. Then I have to go 1/4 throttle for it to start for 1-2 seconds. After trying this procedure twice, it doesn’t react to cranking. I wait 5 minutes and it will sputter again.

The tank hose is flowing freely. So when reconnected to the filter inlet, shouldn’t fuel flow when the filter bowl is secured? The bowl only fills at a drip.

I get fuel at the bleed bolt when cranking and I was getting fuel at the injectors and bled a lot of air. I noticed when cranking it may go 4 seconds with no fuel and then one surge.

I added 1/2 filter reservoir of 911 and about 5 oz to 5 gallons in the tank. No change.

Does it have an electric fuel pump under the frame?

Is this cabling correct?

Trace the fuel line from the tank and see if there is an in line pump. Make sure it has voltage. Just because it makes noise means absolutely nothing. Check also for a mechanical pump on side of engine before the injection pump. Fuel shut off solenoid should be checked also. Make sure it is getting voltage. You can take the plunger off it and install back in position to eliminate it. All that cranking burns starters up, so fix the fuel delivery problem. If you keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result, what is that a definition of?

Check all of those fuel hoses for a leak. My B7500 had a very small split in the hose between the lift pump and injector pump which caused it to suck air into the injectors. Your B2650 has a bit different fuel line setup, but a leak anywhere in those hoses can cause problems.

A few missing facts: 1) Was it below 10 degrees when all this occurred? 2) Had this stoppage ever happened before?
