B2650 Do Hydraulic Pumps Quiet Down After Broken In?

With my B7100 I found that using a lower range and more HST pedal was quieter than using a higher range and less HST pedal. It's easier on the HST too though with homeowner type usage it probably does not matter.

I also have a 2650 an yes it is noisy in the cab. I solved this by wearing Bose quiet comfort headsets that are blue toothed to my phone. It is now quiet in the cab, I can hear the radio and if my phone rings I can hear it in the headset lus they are comfortable for long periods

I'm interested to find out about ANY oil that runs quieter!
I would have thought they come factory filled with Kubota oil so they can be driven/moved from transport, perhaps not?
I wouldn't have thought a dealer would fill with a universal tractor transmission oil instead of Kubota specified fluid, (and expecting that everything has oil from factory), a change in fluid?

It ran quieter in mine....but I've no idea how that translates to other models. If you try it, let us know how it works.
Good question. I've no idea what kind of transmission oil is in them from the factory. That would be interesting to find out.
Our M59 Kubota got serviced a little differently because it was the dealer's demo at the county fair and it had about 40 hours on it when we bought it. Part of the purchase negotiation was that the dealer would do the 50 hour service. I'm sure he would have used Kubota trans/hydraulic fluid if I had thought to ask, but I didn't. His shop uses the Multi G 134 trans/hydraulic fluid for all routine service.

Will using the New Holland Ambra Multi G 134 in my Kubota void the warranty if anything hydraulic goes wrong?

My guess is that it would be up to the dealer. Doing that wouldn't affect the warranty at my dealership. I know because I asked.
There are a lot of dealers who sell Kubota and New Holland both. It's a popular combo. So you ask a good question. I'd be curious what a sampling of dealers had to say.

Just on my own machines:
In my mind less hydraulic noise equals less wear and therefore even less of a chance of warranty ever becoming an issue. That said, I've followed TBN for a decade now as well as several other forums casually for even longer. Frankly I've read a lot of worries about hydraulics and done my own share of worrying too.
But aside from hydraulic cylinders, it is very rare to hear of any type of mechanical or wear-related hydraulic problem. You may think as I do that it seems odd that the cylinders - which are probably the simplest item in the hydraulic system - should be the device with the most problems. But there you are.....anyway, hydraulic pumps and HST transmissions seem particularly bulletproof. As for the rest of it, if the complicated hydralic pumps and valves work to begin with they seem to work just about forever.
luck,

I had a similar thread to this a while back.RScotty suggested the New Holland oil.I asked my dealer about it.They are a Kubota and New Holland dealer and stock both types of fluid.I can't remember the exact numbers but the New Holland fluid has a higher viscosity.I think Kubota is 30 weight and the other is about 32 or 34 weight.Apparently the fluid being thicker is what lowers the noise level. My dealer strongly urged me to stay with the Kubota oil.In regards to warranty the New Holland oil would technically void the warranty but it would only be an issue if there was a problem and Kubota requested an oil analysis. In the end I decided to stay with the Kubota fluid and wear ear plugs.I mostly only use the tractor for snow clearing and a small bit of property maintenance.

I feel confident in saying the new tractors coming from Kubota factory have Kubota SUDT2 installed in them and would never believe otherwise unless a factory rep told me different. Maybe some dealer would top one off with something cheaper to them because it's cheaper to them or would install something cheaper to them on a used machine or even a new machine if they messed up and all the SUDT2 drained out that was installed at the factory.
I've been on TBN sine 2008 and owned Kubotas for 14 years, several of them. I would NEVER use anything but Kubota SUDT/SUDT2 now in my HST Kubotas.
Over the years on TBN several individuals have told of changing to different brands on their Kubota HSTs and then changing back which is a costly proposition and a few have changed and honestly or not said they were satisfied with their change.
The HST whines, more so in some than others and running in high vs lower "gear" and I can even hear my engine running until I stick my ear plugs in my ears connected to my Sony MP3 player belting out great oldies and christian praise and worship with some Statlers and Oak Ridge Boys and Bill Gaither and then I don't hear the whine, just mow, work and sing.

I have a l3240 cab i bought new in 2008 and it had some hst whine in it when new. After about 7-800 hours it got much quieter. Now you don't hear it hardly at all with 3k hours on it. Always used hst plus.
