Just got my old b2650 back from a relative after about 15 years and want to get it back in improved shape. Seems to work fine about 400 hours on it.
When I push in the clutch when it is running it makes a clunky noise but works. Might this be a throwout bearing? If so what is involved with replacing it? If not what else could I look for? Clutch is only used to start unit and activate pto but I would like to correct it.
Thanks

Could that be B2150?
Don't think the B2650 has a clutch pedal?
Good Luck!

Sorry yes. Its a 2150about a 96. Thanks. I now just noticed that it doesn't catch mid range position. I am not sure the cause with the clutch noise I am just guessing.

It's not that bad. Splitting a little tractor basically takes a level concrete pad twice as long as the tractor, some way to support things, a day to get it split, a week to get parts, and another longer day to screw it all back together.
Alternatively, since you have HST and a clutch as a safety start feature, you could just defeat the safety switch that requires clutching to start. After all, cars and trucks rarely had that feature and they did OK without it.
That way you save what is left of the throwout for PTO clutching.

Thank you. Good idea
