B2630 or B7800?

good for you davtik-If you already have a barn to put the bigger tractor in I think you are wise to buy that bigger tractor. Like everyone else I would spring for the 724 FEL. I would put a toothbar on the bucket as well.

Would you suggest that the 2630/3030 isn't any of those things?? Try comparing a 2630/3030 to a JD 2520.

Aren't we blessed to have such a hard choice to make between three excellent tractors such as the 7800/2630/3030 made by an excellent Company such as Kubota!! :)

As the B7800 still retails for less than either of those machines, you can draw any inference you like. After speaking with many MANY dealers from Pennsylvania, to the Carolinas to New England, the 7800 outsells the other B series 4 to 1.

I guess its because that blasted 1/4 inching value is so bad!

:D

You just have to be aware of it, and of course, select the right tool for the right job! :)

........well........ I may be slow but have finally gone and done it.

Brand spankin' new never seen rain Kubota GL3240 HST, R4's, LA724 loader with QA 72" bucket. Sitting in Columbus right now, patience, more blasted patience...... it'll give me time to make that barn door six inches wider.......

:D :D

gosh, just realized it took me 90 posts to get to this point

Congrats on the new machine. The hardest part is waiting for it!!!!!
Right before you get it, you'll probably get a nice 12" snow!!!!
Good choice on machine.

Congrats Davitk! You bought a great machine and did it much faster then most...including me!

When I saw your posts on the other boards I was worried you were going to buy a Kioti, New Holland or JD. The Kubota brotherhood grows by one.

Go out with that GL3240 and pick up that snooty neighour's BX23 and turn it upside down. :)

Kioti's warranty, and NH's financing were tempting (JD didn't make it past the obligatory first look), but when it came right down to it, the machines just were not nice enough to sway me. That, and the fact that I had the opportunity to join such an elite group of wise guys, the KUBOTA brotherhood.....;)

You know, the amazing part of all this has been my wife's attitude. She knew I was looking, and spending all this time on TBN, and when I finally sat down with her yesterday and told her I had made up my mind, AND how much it would cost (minor detail), she said "OK, go ahead".

God bless her. Good woman. Smart, too. :D

Thanks for all the help, guys!!

The B7800 has been a great machine for me. Perhaps not as "loaded" but it has performed well, has plenty of power for what I need it for. Just a stiff throttle control is all I have had to work on.

I can ditto that. Having purchased it for 10 acres and woods duty, it has performed past my expectations on the dairy farm, lots of pasture maintenance!

I had though about selling it, but the size of the tractor works well around and in most all the outbuildings.

Instead, I am amassing my fortune for the 5040-7040 to compliment the B7800 as a stable mate.

I am really lucky with that tractor.

That's funny.....I thought I was the only one that gave green the obligatory look! You are exactly right....when it comes down to it......none of the other machines were/are nice enough to sway me to part with the extra $$ premium they demand.

Well anyhows.....Welcome to the hood!
