B2630 GLOVEBOX

Has anyone made a modification to the useless glove box behind the seat of the b2630/3030 ? The plastic door has not latched since about week two of owning tractor. This is the only thing about the tractor that bothers me.

I don't tend to comment on too much but this thing they call a door is useless!! I think Kubota should offer a fix. It doesn't stay closed and for the price it seems unreasonable to expect owners to rework their design.

I have been thinking of making some type of turn latch to keep the door shut.

Other than that and the cover for the rear remote levers which broke after 2 days I am very happy with the tractor and in the end these are really just a minor pain and more an issue for Kubota's design quality.

To fix the rear remote cover I held it in place with a small amount of epoxy.

On my B3030 ( I think they are the same), mine would'nt stay latched after some use. I loosened the three bolts holding the door hinge and retightened them while holding the door upwards so that the plastic latches engaged the sheet metal more firmly. It hasn't come unlatched again (yet), YMMV. I agree it seems to be a micky mouse design.

Agreed! The under seat toolbox on my B7500 was way better than the B3030, Even if the door was secure, it's too small to store anything useful.
