b2630/3030 steps

I did a search and found an old post about a step (kubota part #6A700-51350) to be added to the left side operators platform on a b2630 or b3030. Has anyone installed one of these? I'm looking for long term feedback - how have they held up and how has the platform held up? I'm concerned that the deck is on the light side and will flex and break something over time. I'm debating between this step or having a welder fabricate a heavy one for me. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I installed one on my B3030 in July. I don't know what your concern is. The step is the OEM part directly from the dealer. It bolts right up to the pre-made threaded mounting holes in the floor and bracket. I think it only cost $26 and is well worth it. Go for it.

Installed step on my B3030 early spring and it does flex a little(but I'm heavy) but I think it will hold up fine. I have MMM so I removed the cover on that side as with bounces I think it would scratch in time.

I've been jumping off my tractor for 16 years now hitting the ground a little harder each year and as I'm approaching 80 I'm thinking it's time for a step so I built my own with an integral floor brace to stop the flexing. Some cutting 3 and 4 inch by quarter inch flat bar, bending, grinding, drilling and welding required. All threaded holes are pre-existing on the B3030.
