Backhoe b2620 & bh65 backhoe decision & current owners

It was a package deal B2620 tlb. I am guessing that it was about 5k with the sub frame and plumbing. If you go on the Kubota site you can build/price a 2620 with any of the options avail. Right now it looks like almost 30k for my unit which is a 2620 fel, bh, front blower and plow. That is list price which is a starting point.

I did the same through Barlows and it was around the same price, although I did not spend a lot of time breaking it down. I was determined to get one and that was that.

As said, one of the most useful (but not often used) tools I have. I would never do some projects as I'm never going to rent to do it, and shovel digging in my tough clay is far too backbreaking. Did a bunch of digging once like that and vowed to never do it again. Throwing out my back is not worth the $.

After having my 2620 for a couple years now I decided to add a BH65, seeing a new one sitting in the corner of a local dealer sprouting weeds pushed me over the edge to ask the salesman about it. Subframe kit, 12" bucket and the hoe $5 k out the door. they claim cost was 5700. Was told the new version b series take a different backhoe so they were kind of stuck with it, they were not so stuck with it to accept my initial offer of $4 k thou.

Just by chance have you looked at any used regular used backhoes? I started this thread in 2008, I kept my 2620 for probably 6 years, during that time I probably used the bh65 approx 20 times. If you get one just remember to be patient when using it, it takes time to do anything with it. The few times I used it to did a hole I was very grateful that I had it. But if I was to do it again I would try and find a used regular backhoe. If you purchase start looking on how to make a dolly to store backhoe attachment when you have it off. Good luck either way.
