I have the factory third function with the two buttons on the front side of the loader joystick where I hit them all the time. I thought I would get used to them but I don’t seem to be getting any smarter. Has anyone seen a thumb switch third function?

My M5640 has a thumb activated rocker switch. I set my hoses so the top is open and the bottom is close.

have you considered one of the many aftermarket stick switches.
They be cheap and easy to swap out.
With extra buttons you can use to control horns, flood lights, etc.....
I switched mine to rocker to control 3rd function and buttons for other stuff. Rocker is easyier for me in winter when heavy mitts are worn
I considered the toggles but went rocker for thumb use pistol grip style
