I am going to give you the best advice you could ever receive. Don't let your wife stand under a raised bucket. There have been too many accidents.

Nice Rig!!! I have a L39. Sometimes I wish I had the B26. The L39 is too big to tow behind my F150.

I think it is secure with the engine off and the loader controls locked. If it had a leak it would move slowly.

That is a standard alternator.

Very nice, excellent accessability. The previuos TLB models (b21, l35, l48) have no where close the ability to open it up like that so easily. I guess it gets back to the dilema of heavy metal armor vs. thinner hood. My L48s have the true "hard nose" with metal supports covered with thick sheet metal to form the top, side panels which cme off, and a nose assembly like a log skidder.....and there is no way your wife could pick it up so easily. Is that front grill piece she is holding thick metal? I have not done a thorough, close up inspection of a B26 yet. Thanks for the pics, nice machine.

The B21 hood opens very easily, but totally different from the B26. It
hinges in the front and articulates the grille guard out of the way with a
linkage. No side panels. More complicated, but effective.

Question for SAM: I see you have the factory worklights on the FOPS.
My B21 has those, too, but have never been connected to a switch or
power, as far as I can tell. Does yours use a separate switch from the
regular head lamp switch? The four lights on my FOPS would use a lot of
current and I think they should have a separate switch and fuse.

Our B26 doesn't have standard head lamps in the grill. The stock B26 comes with front and rear work lights which operated from the dash mounted three position switch. The normal position is off, the second position turns on the front FOPS and aux lights. The third position turns on the rear lights in addition to the front lights.

Today we removed the BT820 backhoe. It was simple once we removed tension from the mounting pins. I cleaned up the hydraulic connectors before looping back the line and installing the protective covers. It was a good thing we did this because we found that one of our lynch pins and the collar around the lower link pin was missing. We installed our RBT1572 rear tilt blade. Tomorrow we will move a pile of dirt during a landscaping project. The rear blade will come in handy on this one.

Ok everyone tractor safety is a big deal especially with some many acts of poor behavior or judgment have resulted in serious injury or death. I am sure all of us are ignorant to the safety to many activities which result is a much higher fatality rate, such injury or death resulting from fires, electrical shock, hand tools, motor vehicle and drugs. I come from a very strong industrial safety culture that always keeps me looking and considering at the very least the probability of an accident. We all take gambles. Life is full of risks, gains and losses. I normally use a lockout device but this picture was designed to illustrate the ease of access for service. Don't get me wrong I do appreciate the genuine concern and I will not post any similar pictures to avoid this type of discussion. Also let me say please continue to discuss safety in all post because it may help prevent and accident.

Today we moved a large pile of dirt and spread it along this covered patio. The B26 performed nicely in the tight places and with the back hoe removed we prevented more damage to the lawn and added tractor operating clearance. In this case, yes lighter is better. You can aways add weight but it can't always be removed. It was nice to get some operating hours in. We displaced a family of moles and got some manual labor in shaping the soil. Because of the obstacles involved we couldn't utilize the rear blade. I should have tried turning the rear blade around and pushing it in reverse. This would have leveled the soil for the tractor tires making the grading consistent. My gut feeling was to stay away from the structure. Anyway enjoy the pictures and I am sorry about the mole family.
