I was doing routine maintenance on my B26 on the weekend when I noticed the left hand FEL retraction hydraulic line had some damage to the outer rubber layer near the connector on the cylinder end. Nothing is leaking and the wire braid seems intact.

The tractor only has 365 hours on it but should I go ahead and replace the line, and maybe the other side as well or just leave it till it starts leaking?

Are the original Kubota hoses good quality or should I go with a better replacement hose for the few more $$ it would cost? :confused2:

If it's not gonna be aiming at you when it springs a leak, I'd leave it. It may last years before its a problem. When you replace it , make sure you get a double braid hose.

If the braid has not been compromised, tape it up with electrical tape or other to protect the wire braid from water/corrosion entering in between....

The outer cover is just protection for the braid........
