Yes just those front two pins hold it up if you want to do it the factory way. I think most people who've done that a time or two realize it's not fun getting the pins in. Nothing needs to hold the back other than its regular linkage, just the front gets held up. Make sure you don't go too high and interfere with the drive shaft coupler, that can be disastrous. Just where the deck lightly touches the frame in the front or a bit less is where you want to be then double check you're not hitting the driveshaft.

Wow, that seems really weird. One would think the weight of the back would be too much.

I do fancy the strap idea though.
