B2400 API oil spec in the ownes manual

Time to change my oil and I noticed that my owners manual says to use API CC/CD rated oil. Mobil 1 now offers zero rated oil 0-20 and 0-30,,,that sounds good for winter start ups in my unheated barn.

I would like some in put to using 0-30 Mobil 1 in the engine rather than a diesel rated oil,,something the owners manual does not recommend.

CC/CD is diesel rated oil. See if Mobil 1 makes a 10W30 CC/CD Rated oil and if so use that year round.

Kubota's manuals are woefully outdated on oil specs.
The current diesel spec is CJ-4,superceeding CC/CD.
Kubota factory fill is 10W30 conventional oil.
This would serve you well in Kansas,Shell Rotella or Kubota 10W30 are easy to find.
If you desire a lower viscosity synthetic oil for easier starts,5W40 CJ-4 oils for diesels are plenitful.
Shell Rotella,Mobil Delvac,etc.Any would be fine.
The Mobil 1 synthetics you mentioned are gas engine oils and don't have the capability to handle the soot load diesel engines require.

Also, all CI-4, CI-4+, and CJ-4 oils are backward compatible. They can be used in CC, CD, CF, designed engines with no problem.
