Hey guy I just picked up a 2015 B2320 TLB, and was wondering what are some popular attachments for it and if adding the quick attach loader (skid steer style) is worth it and how much it adds in weight really,,, also I really would like a box blade/scraper, and am wondering what size probably in thinking 5' is to big, thanks

Good job on the pickup.

As for attachments, that completely varies on what you intend to use it for. What do you want to do with it?

My personal opinion is that the SSQA is worth it for convenience in the event I find a steal on a set of pallet forks, or ever stash enough funds away for a grapple, it's just a matter of lifting two levers and pull the switcheroo. As for the weight, that I can't speak to.

I picked up a 5' box blade for my B2650, and for my area, and my way of operating it, it seems sufficient. In reviewing hundreds, if not thousands of pages of posts in the Attachments forum, I have learned to keep my attachments to a 5' maximum for my tractor. Perhaps someone else with a B2320 will chime in with what works best for them.

Skid steer type loader hookup is the way to go, just keep buckets/grapples etc to a reasonable weight/size. I would agree with a 5' limit for heavy ground engaging attachments like a box blade, other attachments like a landscape rake or rear blade could likely go larger like 6', especially if they angle as you want the attachment to cover the tire track width.

I second JOHNTHOMAS.

This post concerns Ratchet Rakes Vs. light Box Blades, such as the 60" Land Pride BB1260/346 pounds/69 pounds per foot.

I searched for the weight of kubota L3301 bucket but could not find a number. I presume L3301 bucket weighs approximately 240 pounds, extrapolating from other kubota specs. 68" Ratchet Rake weighs 88 pounds. Adding 240 + 88 = 328 pounds, pretty close to 346 pounds of BB1260 Box Blade.

In addition, the (operator controlled) weight of the FEL frame bears on the Ratchet Rake. Likewise, weight of the Three Point Hitch bears on the Box Blade. FEL frames weigh much more than ( 3X? 4X?) Three Point Hitch components. So, including some FEL weight, I guesstimate that ground contact pressure on Ratchet Rake and BB1260 would be at least equal, perhaps greater pressure on the Ratchet Rake.

Further in Ratchet Rake's favor you have articulation of bucket/RR combination in two planes from the operator's station and 1-1/2" serrated teeth on the Ratchet Rake.

Box Blade can be raised and lowered hydraulically from the operator's station. Box Blade angle of attack is adjustable via the Three Point Hitch Top Link, but not from the operator's station. Standard Box Blade does not have rippers, standard is a smooth cutting edge.

Ratchet Rake is capable of tearing up sod with its serrated teeth, the initial operation in much grading. The Ratchet Rake will not pull as large a load as a Box Blade but it may pull 35% of capacity of BB1260 per pass, with faster cycles. Ratchet Rake is more intuitive in operation than a Box Blade, which requires considerable experience to operate efficiently.

I own both a Ratchet Rake and a Rollover Box Blade.

When I have heavy grading to do, I mount my 60"/625 pound (125 pounds per foot) Bush Hog (brand) Rollover Box Blade on the tractor's Three Point Hitch AND the Ratchet Rake on my FEL bucket.

With a Ratchet Rake you will not have to remove your Backhoe in order to grade.

SSQA is excellent, although rather heavy for small tractors. The substantial cost of retrofitting an SSQA bucket to a used tractor would exceed its additional utility.

After you get used to your tractor, you will seldom want to drop the bucket. On my last tractor, a B3300SU which had Kubota's optional pin on bucket, I never dropped the bucket. The 48" bucket on a small tractor does not obscure forward view that much.

I only drop the bucket on my current tractor with SSQA two or three times per year and I operate the tractor half the days every month.

Hey guys thanks for all the advice, I plan on doing light backhoe(trenches, planting trees, landscaping) work but I also have a 600' driveway that on one side is still very rough and rocky that I can't mow with zero turn, so I also just picked up a pto tiller to hopefully with that loosen the sod up, and then with tooth bar on bucket and box blade be able to grade the whole strech along my driveway
