My experience is that the hydrostats after the Bxx50 series don't hold up as well outside of a homeowner environment. If you are putting 50 hours a year on one of these machines you will probably never notice a difference. The environments I'm referring to, are where customers put 50 hours a month on their machines. The later Bxx00's (like the
B1700,
B2100,
B2400) and Bxx10's (like the
B2410,
B2710,
B2910) aren't as well built. I don't have any experience with the newer Bxx30 series machines. The hydrostats in the earlier machines, like the
B7100's,
B6200-9200's and
B1550-1750's seemed to hold up better in my opinion. This is only my opinion, I don't have any empirical evidence to back this up, just my repair experience.
I don't remember years. We never refer to years in any of the literature involving these machines. Let me see, I left the last dealer I worked at, at the end of 2000. The Bxx10's hadn't been out that long, the Bxx00's had a short production life. So I would guess they were built mostly in the early to late 90's.
