B2150 alternator

looks like a bearing in my b2150 alternator has seized. Is it possible to have the bearing replaced or should I just replace the whole thing? Any suggestions for where to get one for a reasonable price? It seems I read some time ago about an alternator upgrade. Anyone know if that's still available?

Had the rear bearing replaced this morning for $25. Local alternator / starter shop. Said it is a magneto, rather than an alternator.
