Hi all...noob here, I have a couple questions for the group I'm hoping for some input on. I just got my first tractor...a Kubota B21 in relatively good shape. It has the front loader, a Gannon 54" box blade, a Brush Hog mower...but did not come with the BT751 backhoe. I'd like to get a backhoe on her...Kubota preferably, but am also looking at WoodMaxx and Woods backhoes...and yes, I'm LOOKING at the stuff from China. I have heard from multiple sources that it is unwise to mount a backhoe straight to the Cat 1 TPH. The Woods BH65 at under 700 lbs. seems dainty enough to not break my B21, and I had to pass up a SMOKING deal on a National 728 because it seemed a bit much...so instead, I'm waiting for that Baby Bear Backhoe that's juuuuuuust right. Accordingly, I'm hoping some of you might point me in the right direction.
Is there a subframe maker or kit for the B21 that would let me sling on something that would suit the B21...or should I just play it safe with a Mama Bear Backhoe that although might not hurt my Kubota, also might not be as effective as I'd like?
Also, ANY tips on maintaining my machine would be great...yes, I'm religious about checking and changing the fluids, preheating the glow plugs, and greasing regularly.
...I work on and maintain pumps, hydraulics, machinery, etc. for a living and have access to a full hydraulics shop at work so...kinda lucky there. I don't have a full machine shop at my house, but if I could come up with any plans for a subframe and/or suitable backhoe, I could probably farm out the cutting and do all the welding myself.
Anyway, thanks in advance.
