Axle Seal

My John Deere Model A has a leaking left axle seal. Any idea the cost for repari? Any idea where I can get a replacement?

What model year..?? I'd have to guess there are different seal for the un-styled/styled models. Cost would depends on who does the work. You, local mechanic, or dealer. Seal is probably still available through John Deere, but looking up the part number on their site, then crossing the number may be less expensive for the same brand seal.

In order to R&R seal which is part # AA510R/gasket A412R one needs to remove rockshaft housing then remove bull gear. The part #s are for A with serial # 477,000 up
