I have a 1967 Ford 2000 3-cyl diesel that has a rear axle seal leak. I think I can unbolt the 8 or so bolts on the end of the axle housing and pull the axle out without going inside the center chunk. Is this true or do I have to go into the center chunk and remove anything, and is there anything special I need to know while doing this. Also I am looking to buy a shop/repair manual and I have saw them for $35-$200, does anyone have any suggestions?
