Axle maintenance

I've been doing a lot of reading on this forum, basically trying to get some insight on which tractor I want to purchase. I read a thread on the Kioti forum, in regards to changing the oil in the front axle. Does the Mahindra 16 series require this service as well? I hear mention of the sight glass for oil level on the Kioti, as was curious, because I didn't notice anything like this on the Mahindras that I've looked at.

I don't know about the 16 series. But my 6520 just has fill and drain plugs. I changed the oil in the axle and front hubs around 300 hours. Put Shell Spirax gear oil in. Spirax has been renamed since then. I can't see having a sight glass on an axle. With the way I push my tractor to it's limits................a sight glass would have been ripped off a long time ago. I like just having flush plugs.
