These are a good hitch. I have put one together for the customer I had that had the first Titan I drove back in 03/04? Can not remember when. They came with the truck at that time as part of the factory BIG TOW PACKAGE. That truck sold me on the Titan and I bought mine in 09 as a 08 leftover.


If I had to guess it was made by Putnam for Nissan. It should work fine on any 2" receiver. Nothing Nissan or special about it.

For $120 that is a cheap price. I think Harbor Freights weight dist. hitch is on sale right now for $199.

To add to this question, the 2500 hd Chevy's I think have 2.5" recievers with a spacer to neck it down to 2". Would this WD hitch work with that?

The new ones, 08 and later, do. I would not use it in that personally. I have 2.5" hitches on my F-250 and F-350 and I would really not need a WD hitch on them, they are rated for 12,500# without it.

It also may have a little slop. Yes, it can be used but I would not.

I bought one last year, its a decent hitch. Works fine with a sleeve. All 2" stuff works fine with the sleeve. I've got a 2.5" hit on my F-350 too.
