Well After alot of uncertinty I decided on a 3710 hst fel w/r4 tires instead of the 3010 and ags,Is bigger better? The form has steered me that way so thats how I went and who couldnt always use a few extra horsepower?, Carver is suppose to deliver it to me in CT.Buying a machine w/200 hrs site unseen has kept me uneasy, they say its in great shape, well see, anyone know what the 3710hst with fel and loaded r4 weigh? Can I put a 3pt hitch hoe on the machine?I know they recomend a subframe,But is it necessary?

Congratulation SHIFTY.

If it was me I would have the sub frame install because of stenght mostly.

Do they still have the old tractor weekend near you in CT?
The last time I attended the fuction was 4 years ago and International Harvester put on a darn good show for everyone.

Shifty -

Am I the only one who looked at the 3010 and wound up buying something smaller? /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Actually, I had a very limited budget and was looking at some very used L's when I stumbled across the L2500 I wound up with. It was practically new, came with full warranty and the price was right. Although I will probably always lust after the higher hp models, I have absolutely no regrets with my purchase.

You're getting a super machine from a super dealer. I wouldn't worry too much about the sight-unseen aspect of it. Carver ain't gonna sell you a bad tractor. Their reputation has been built on selling quality equipment at fair prices and then standing behind them.

I only hope you survive the wait. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I HOPE YOU SAVED MORE THAN 1500.00 TO BUY THAT FAR FROM HOME.SERVICE MUST BE OF NO IMPORTANCE TO YOU!!!KUBOTA IS A GREAT TRACTOR!!!PARTS AND SERVICE SUPPORT CANNOT BE HANDLED ON THE INTERNET.DO YOU THINK HE HAS A SERVICE TECH THAT COULD BE AT YOUR FARM WITHIN A FEW HOURS!!!YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE TRACTOR LOCALLY,NOT 400+MILES FROM HOME!!GOOD LUCK AND REMEMBER THE WARRANTY WORK SHOULD BE DONE BY THE DEALER WHO SELLS THE TRACTOR!!

SINKFARM,IM ASSUMING YOU ARE A DEALER WITH YOUR RESPONSE,Anyways I COULD NOT FIND ANY USED 3710hst,fel,r4 IN MY AREA,THEREFORE, THAT IS THE REASON THAT I WENT TO CARVER AND THEY DID TREAT ME VERY WELL AND IT WAS A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE, I TALKED TO SEVERAL LOCAL DEALERS AND THEY HAD NO PROBLEM SERVICING A MACHINE UNDER WARRANTY THAT WAS PURCHASED USED WITH 220 HRS ON IT FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE,IF THERE WAS A LOCAL DEALER THAT HAD GOOD PRICING,EVEN $600. MORE,I WOULD OF WENT THAT ROUTE,WOULDNT YOU AGREE THAT TO FIND A GOOD USED MACHINE & YOU HAD TO LOOK 10 HRS AWAY, WOULD YOU?I DIDNT HAVE THE CASH TO SPEND 5K MORE FOR A EQUIVALENT MACHINE WITH 0 HOURS

Shiffty: Congratulations on your new L3710 HST. I have a 3710 GST with about 100hr. Totally satisfied with the tractor. The tractor weighs 2990 lbs. The R4 tires will weigh approx. 475-500 lbs apeice (depending on how much and what type of fluid). My best guess on the LA681 loader is about 1200 lbs.

Shifty,
Good Luck with your new purchase. This is my first post, and
I took delivery of a 4310 HST on 11/4. It has R4 tires, FEL,
and a Woods 9000 BH. I requested quotes from 3 dealers, all
of whom explained they would not sell me a 3 point hitch
mounted BH. I live in MA, and all the dealers said the soil
conditions in New England are rough on 3 point mounted BH's.
My machine now has about 30 hours, and it is great.
I am very pleased with the HST. I also would like to thank
everyone on this site, for the excellent information you
all post. It helped me tremendously with my purchase.

J Zayka,
Glad to read you enjoy your new investment. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Thats one thing about New England the ground rough and has lot of rocks, /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gifand thats maybe why ever where you look there stone walls. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Hope mother nature give you some more seat time w/ this storm coming on Friday.

Stay safe and have a pleasant day down there.

Sinkfarm--WHY should any warranty work be done only by the selling dealer??? I can choose to purchase a car or truck from one dealer and legally have a different dealer do warranty service work. It may be that the servicing dealer may not give me priority, but that is OK. Having owned two Kubotas, I don't recall anything in the warranties of those two tractors that specified that I HAD to return them to the selling dealer in order to obtain warranty service. Of course, neither one EVER had to go back to a dealer anyway for any kind of service including one that I owned for ten years (too bad I cannot say that about my present green tractor after a year and a half!).
