Mahindra 3535
I have a Mahindra 3535 with auto and manual pto switch, the pto works in the manual mode but not in the automatic mode, I don't like the auto mode I prefer manual, since the tractor only had 40 hrs when the auto quit working I would just like to get it working, probably never use it,just wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

It's probably similar to the one on my old 4110. Could be the clutch switch, the seat switch (mine doesn't have one), or the 3 pt hitch all the way up causing it not to come on in the auto mode. I too prefer the manual setting anyway with the on/off switch on my steering column.

Thanks for a quick response, I agree with you about never using it, just like to have all my equipment in perfect working order, guess I'll have to start digging, I know all those switches will be well hiddon, thanks again.

My 3550 Hydro PTO quit working at all at less than 100 hours. It went back to the dealer and they said it was a bad ground.

When your engaging it are the 3point levers lower than half way? or raised up?

if your familiar with the operation of it then its either the fuse, switch or vacuum itself... test light should be able to get you the info you need

Thanks to all for the replies, I have checked all the above listed, except the grounds, I'm sure there are several locations.

My 4035 did that, it was a bad connection where the switch plugs into the relay.

Where is the relay located

I just followed the switch wires to the relay

There is also a switch on your 3pt lift lever [ to the right of your seat ] that activates the PTO when you move it to raise or lower the 3pt. Might have a wire off, or out of adjustment. I never use the auto feature either. I turn my PTO ON/OFF with a big LED lighted Jeep type rocker switch mounted where the stock push button used to be just under the steering wheel. I mashed the stock push button so many times with my winter gloves that it did not last long. The Jeep rocker switches hold up to my poor operator habits.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm new to TBN and just found it. My 2015 2555 PTO quit completely at 60 hours. I wish I knew enough to and thought to try looking into it myself. It went back to the dealer and they changed a computer board - not under warranty! It is not the dealer I bought it from and relatively new dealer. I hope I don't have any more issues after this expensive repair.
