Auto window tint, any removal secrets?

I have a new used car with rear windows tinted like it was a pimp mobile. Do you know any tint removing secrets? I peeled it off one window, but the film left behind is pretty tough to get off. I used a blade and then MEK to remove the residue. Is there another way?

Ammonia will cut right through the residue.

Don't you know that stuff is known to cause cancer in rats in the state of California? At least that is what it says on the can of it I have in Michigan /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seems strange that the states outlaw it because it causes cancer, but in every state you can go into a grocery store and buy it off the shelf...it's commonly known as finger nail polish remover... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Why is it OK for women to use it on their hands without knowing the hazards, but NOT OK to use in a controlled industrial environment?

I should think that a Terminator cubed like atmospere would be prevalent. As one Predator would put it, its only happened twice, a real rarity just like Twins.
