I have the standard cruise on my 3520. Never thought Id need the auto style. But while mowing and tilling I find it would be nice to just bump up the speed with a switch as opposed to shutting down the cruise, setting the new speed and resetting the cruise. What is involved with upgrading to auto style cruise? What parts are needed and what is involved with the install? Prices?

Also, can I order directly off JDs website? Do you all order from JD or is there a cheaper alternative?
Thanks, Jeff.

Jeff, the auto style cruise is really simple to install.Part # LVB25548. Cost $86.00. Remove the console cover and plug in to the same plug as the standard cruise switch. The only problem I ran into was programing it, but I resolved that by disconecting the battery.

Definately worth the $86. Buy then and install them when adding your light switches.

The auto cruise works great for what you just stated, bumping it up and down to control the rpms within the operating range.

You can order parts on the site. They will go to whatever dealer you choose. They are the same cost on the site as thru the dealer.

Jeff, complete instructions are provided with the new switch. Its just a matter of following the instructions to install and program the new switch. You use the mode switch to scroll thru to the numbers they require and the turn signal switch to change the numbers. You have to do it in the required sequence. My problem was that as I went thru the instructions at about halfway thru I could not get the proper sequence to come up.So the following day I disconected and reconected the battery and was able to get the required number sequence. It really quite simple. And as Bloomington Mike said well worth the money.
