Mowing Auto PTO on RK37

I bought my tractor last fall and have used the loader, Backhoe, and rear blade. I’ve now assembled and installed my rear finish mower. I have a auto pto button on the dash as well as a pto button. What does the auto button do? I can’t find it in anything that came with the tractor.

If it's anything like the RK55 (and I'm assuming it's the same), while it's in auto, the mower will stop when you back up, then engage again when you move forward. I believe it also disengages when you take it out of gear or on my shuttle shift, when you depress the clutch. I leave mine on manual because I do a lot of cutting while backing up. But for a large field or something, auto may work better.

(1) Operation of PTO selection
switch
「OFF」- The PTO shaft is stopped.
「Automatic」
When the implement is lifted to
the preset height, the PTO shaft
is automatically stopped.
「Manual」-
The rotating status of the PTO
shaft can be controlled by operating
the PTO ON/OFF switch to
the ON/OFF position manually.

ON - The PTO shaft is rotating.
OFF - The PTO shaft is stopped.

When pressing the switch, the
red lamp comes on and the PTO
shaft rotates.
