I know this may be a stretch, but then again this sure is an informative place...

An old friend of mine died suddenly a couple of years ago and left behind a very nice 1965 Austin-Healey Mark III 3000. (that sucker would fly)

His widow, who is also a very good friend, told me today that she's ready to start clearing out some of his "toys"..... and he had a bunch of toys.

My friend was in the process of restoring this old classic when he passed, so some of it is still in boxes.

By any chance does anyone here have any Austin-Healey resources that they can point me towards so I can help my old pal's wife out?

Just like anyone else she wants to get all she can out of this old car.

It's been a long time since I drove those.

I assume that you wish to sell the car & are looking for contacts.

Note: I do not know if the Mk 3 was made in the less common 2 seater version as they did the 100-6 & Mk 1 but if the car does not have the tiny jump seat or room for it behind the main seats then it may have some more value to a collector. By chance I a 2 seater 100-6 and Mk 1 when a British Leyland Exec pointed out the difference.

Stop at local car shows or check for imported car part stores to go and talk to them.

Good luck & smooth roads, that car only has about 3 inches of round clearance.

there are some pretty large Austin Healy collectors at a car club housing developement called Hawk Hill in Lenoir No. Car,, The lady who answers questions on their web page happens to be my wife's aunt.. Hawk Hill has their own web page.

Thanks for all the good suggestions.

I found out on the Austin Healey Club USA site that we can have a production records trace done on the car.

I think this will be a good place to start. Then when we start asking questions about estimates on the value we'll have a little more info to provide.
