I have an old atv sprayer with a 25 gallon tank and a 7 ft boom with 6 nozzles and a hand held wand.

I have a few pastures to spray and a hay field about 12 acres all together, so I decided to extend the booms to 14 ft and 12 nozzles but before I did my modifications a friend borrowed the sprayer and the pump failed. It was a 2.1 gal per min size pump, HERE lies the question what size pump do I need know that I doubled the nozzles

I believe its 3/8 hose to the nozzles and there will be 12 nozzles over a 14ft span what size pump? and would like to stay with dc pump thanks?

I would just get the biggest one available, plumb in a recirc line that dumps back to the tank when set pressure is obtained. This would also keep your chemicals well mixed.

I have a 10' boom with 7 nozzles on my sprayer. It gives me a 12' swath. My 2.1 gpm pump is almost too small. I can get 40psi using the medium nozzles from TSC, it doesn't make enough pressure to run the bigger nozzles. I would suggest getting the biggest pump you can find. When this one gives up, I'm getting at least a 3 GPM.

Note: I want to be able to use larger nozzles so I can go faster.

This might help you -

BTW, Gary Fowler has it right - oversize your pump and add a recirc line - if you tee in a gauge right at the boom and a valve going back to tank return, you can put your water in the tank first, adjust the tank return valve for the pressure you want at the boom, then valve off the boom itself, add your chemicals, let them mix a while (this method also eliminates the foaming you get with some chemicals while filling with a hose)

Here's a pic of mine after I upsized the pump (also dead like yours) and added a boom. In the pic, the pump outlet isn't hooked up yet but connects to the dual valve hose wye (green) - note that the return line gauge/valve go direct to tank, and if you look closely you can see small black inline valves (2) that shut off the nozzles so you can mix with the pump...
