ATV muffler question

They sometimes come past our road on a SUNDAY, a convoy of all types of UTVs and those things with the Bycycle seat and handlebars. Sounds like Patons Third Army Approaching.
Not saying it bothers me, but yes, why do these things have to be so loud from the factory?

You know, being in the country I think that is just part of living "out here". Sometimes it's gunshots at a home made range, Loud stereo, chainsaw operation, redneck neighbor working on his circle track car...the list goes on. Be happy you have few rules to bind you to the real world.
Now if they are operating it at 5am and then again at 10pm at night I would think some respect should go a long ways unless they are just complete tools.

Good neighbors run stock mufflers.
This is when a small drone really comes in handy.

All the neighbors around here have quads. Yes they are noisy. It bothers my wife but I don't even hear it if I'm working. I guess I'm lucky. I can't hear my wife either after a while.
