Hey fellas
Does any on know if its possible to attach a Hammer to an old JD 400 w/ a backhoe attachment on it. I'msure this hammer would have to be porprtional to the size of the tractor.
I will assume you mean a hydraulic breaker "hammer" to hang on the end of your backhoe correct?
While it's "possible", I would not recommend it. Those things are brutal on equipment-all the shaking and vibration from the hammering will do a number on pins and welded joints. They are better used on heavy commercial size equipment.
If you really do want one, I'm sure that there is some sized for mini-excavators that would be a good size, but I am sure you would have to custom adapt the pin mount to your machine.
